In this case, Jesus looks out and sees a number of servants who would probably have been punished severely for running out of wine at a wedding.  After being prompted by his mother, he decides to take action and perform the famous miracle of turning water into wine.  And being God, he could have simply done it with a word or a thought.  But he chooses instead to include the servants in the process Ã?? a model that we see time and time again.  This brings about an interesting question:  Why would the God of the universe choose to use us in our state of brokenness to bring about a miracle when we as human beings have proven time and time again to be absolutely powerless?

ItÃ??s simple.  God wants to, Ã??. . .take the bologna sandwich of our lives and turn it into a Sal Garberg Special.Ã??  And He wants to empower us in the process by taking the little bit we have and meeting it with His infinite strength.  All it takes is a little faith, trust and obedience and we may see something truly breathtaking take place.

During this time, steady improvements and development in business and in residential sectors have prompted vast stretches of untouched land to be converted to meet the surge in growth.  And most importantly, Everett has seen a steady increase in its population, housing an extremely diverse array of people with similarly diverse backgrounds.  Our city is home to computer programmers, electricians, store clerks, aerospace technicians, sports teams, newly-arrived immigrants, independent filmmakers -- you name it, we have it.  So how do we as a church respond to such diverse needs in a growing port city?

Pastor Nate speaks to our response from Acts 2 with a disarmingly simple way to bring diverse people together in health and in unity, because a church that is unified and dedicated to seeing lost and broken people receive the love and salvation of their Father in Heaven is a church that will change the world.

The concept is simple.  Every one of us has within them the potential to impact the world in unimaginable ways.  All it takes is a decision made from the heart that says people matter to God more than anything else.  Lost people.  Found people.  All people.

We'll also look at Acts 9 at the conversion of Saul of Tarsus, later renamed Paul the Apostle, who reamins a great example of a hypocrite who found everything and more in a radical encounter with Jesus Christ.  And whether it's persecuting a newly-formed church -- or in a more likely scenario, neglecting those areas of your heart that God so desperately wants to make right, there is nothing beyond the reach of our still-creating God who longs to be connected with His people in new and profound ways!

In sad news, no video survived from our El Shaddai weekend and if you're like me, you're probably pretty bummed.  That was the week our equipment rebelled - which is quite terrible, since it shouldn't develop autonomy.

However, our special video for that weekend did survive!  Which is pretty sweet, because it took a long time to make.  This particular file is a series of images set to our live, in-house performance of the song "El Shaddai" performed by our very own Carolyn Foster and Don Garberg.  It was originally played on our big screens with words displayed on top of it, while Carolyn performed alone onstage with a single spotlight illuminating her, and Don accompanied her with his own arrangement on the piano.  Hopefully you can imagine the experience as you listen to the powerful lyrics conveying God's awesome might.

This week we will look at Genesis 17 and glean from it the attribute that God revealed to Abraham - He is El Shaddai, or The Almighty, All-Sufficient One who keeps His promises and never waivers.

And for those who perhaps have never heard from God personally or who are hearing of Him for the first time, please ask God to reveal Himself to you in a way that you will clearly understand.  Our God is one who reveals to all who ask Him and wants you to know that in those times you feel uncertain, or are even at risk of your very safety, He is the Almighty God who set the stars in motion and holds the galaxy in His hands - how much more does He care for those whom He so passionately loves?

And the good news is that He loves us all unconditionally!  That is a promise you can cleave to!

With the new changes in iTunes that took place today, we have finally had the oppertunity to take advantage of some cool new key features, primary among them being full standard resolution support (finally!) and iPod bug fixes.  This was done so that Apple can deliver full-length feature films through their iTunes application.  You will also note the overall streamlined presentation in the iTunes player itself.  And while all these enhancements are wonderful, it is our hope that this new transition will affect everyone for the better.

A dear friend of ours, Amanda Sullivan, was gracious enough to share her story of God's supernatural healing with us.  She was delivered in ways that none of the physicians or surgeons or physical therapists she went to could have predicted.  And her story parallels so many others in our church - all of which ultimately bring glory to whom it is due.

And yet, in this age of technological advances, we have the ability to go to the doctor and take a pill that will cure us of a common sickness.  We can even take preventative measures to keep disease from ravaging our bodies the way it did just a century ago.  But ultimately it is by our faith in God Our Healer that we are truly healed in our body, soul and spirit.  It is God's desire to see everyone come to know His perfect healing in their lives - their fight with cancer, their broken relationships, their crushed spirit - and take that step of faith towards their ultimate healing!

It's been a while, hasn't it?  Well, we here are excited about some changes that have been taking place with our current workflow.  We are now capable of producing our own original content!  This means that we are focusing more of our time towards producing in-house videos -- including testimonies, dramas, etc. -- for use in our services and for other churches in the area!  The Lord has blessed us and we are excited to see this blessing overflow throughout our county!

But before we go any further, let us just reiterate our purpose:  We will continue to provide everything we have already so that the Word can go out to anyone who has access to a computer at no cost to them.  We also want to begin delivering (finally!) some of our in-house films and other content to anyone who wants it.  The issue right now is a lack of storage and overall cost.  We simply do not have enough space available on this server to do this, which is why our broadcasts include 30-minute segments of sermons and not the entire service.  The file size is simply too long to stream to those with lower-performance computers, and is too large to store on this site.  And to move to another site with more storage and unlimited bandwidth is an extremely costly endeavor.

But do not fear!  We are so appreciative of every e-mail we have received and every life that has been and will be touched by this ministry.  And we are extremely excited to continue bringing you messages from Pastor Nate as well as more content in the near future.

We recently began a new series called God. . .AKA where each week we explore a different aspect of God's perfect character.  We began with Elohim two weeks ago - however the audio did not capture well, so we will post that one as soon as we can fix it.  This past week we began our journey through Jehovah M'Kaddesh and learned from Beth McKnight's testimony just how perfect the power of God's sanctification is when we choose to walk in His plan for our lives!

Jehovah M'Kaddesh literally means "God our Sanctifier" and I would like to encourage those of you out there who feel like there's no hope left or that your life is beyond all repair to listen to our podcast on Jehovah M'Kaddesh and ask God the Sanctifier to reveal Himself to you as the one who will restore you to His pure, original design and let the image you see in the mirror every morning be a reflection of the joy, love and peace that comes from Jesus Christ!

I do apologize for not contributing more to this section.  As soon as our facility is up and running again we will have more available to you!  However, I do want to take the time to call your attention to a few things.

Firstly, for those who are unaware, we put on an a free carnival for over 500 kids at Hawthorne Elementary here in Everett.  The event was a huge success!  I'll be posting the video of the event shortly.

Secondly, this weekend we put on an all-church garage sale to raise money for a high school missions trip to Mississippi to help in the post-Katrina rebuilding.  Though I don't know the total as of this posting, I am certain that we'll be able to help finance many high schoolers share their time, effort and the love of Christ with the people whose lives they help rebuild!

Pastor Nate and a few others are headed off to the Foursquare Convention this week!  We had a wonderful send-off for them (including some great Convention theme music by Petra. . .).  Nate will be among those who are speaking, so they put him up on the official website!  Check out his sweet suit-and-tie glamour pic at http://www.foursquarechurch.org/bios/ and let the good times roll!

Finally, we have come to the end of our current series which focussed on four areas of growth for the congregation here at New Life -- Heartwork, Headwork, Hardwork, and Homework.  The series was called H4 (yes, people who make Hummer vehicles, if you want to release a new H-themed SUV we might consider leasing the name to you. . .).  Our new series is called "The Real Deal" and focuses on the truth of who Jesus was, is and always will be (and no, it is not in a gameshow format, unfortunately).

This week we have an original piece for you!  As you recall (for those who've followed the sermons) Pastor Nate issued a challenge to our congregation to spend $50 on something that would bless people, minister the heart of God to our community, and to further the Kingdom of Heaven.  To that end, we've had some amazing responses from our membership.  We'll post more of these stories in the weeks to come.  Thanks to everyone who participated!  And as always, send us your questions or comments to tmorrow@newlifecenter.org!

We're back (sort of)!  As you know, our computer died on us some time ago.  However, through the greatness of God's provision, we have another computer capable of churning out fresh podcasts again!

Also - this was quite flattering, I assure you - Pastor Nate recently came back from a speaking engagement at the International Foursquare convention.  He mentioned that a few pastors from different parts of the country were actively viewing these podcasts. . .Sweet!  If you wouldn't mind, we'd love to hear your comments.  If you could change anything, what would it be?  Please know that this resource is meant to bless everyone interested in Christianity through concise, warm, and inviting means.  We're always trying to improve ourselves to better communicate the heart of Christ to this broken world.  And everyone's feedback is essential!

At long last, here is a highlight reel of some special moments from our Easter services, most of which were taken during the worship portion of our service.  To all the volunteers who made the service possible, there is a special treat for you at the end!

Thanks to the musicians, vocalists, choir, Anna Poetzl for the choir direction, Paul and Carolyn for leading worship, all our sound guys, backstage crew, iMag operators, camera crew, MediaShout operators, ushers, greeters, baristas, security team, parking attendants, all the staff that volunteered where there was need, and a special thanks to Pastor Nate who was really cool with all of the crazy spandex we threw about the stage!  And to all who may not have received the letter, we had 81 people make their first decision to follow Christ! Blessings to all of them!

To keep you informed, we are unfortunately still sans one PowerMac G5.  However, special thanks to Tim Poetzl for the use of his iMac and the good folks at Apple Care for the useful info.  I also want to say a huge thank you to Mike Mondejar for the pictures.  Over all, God rocked us in a very cool way!

It is with great bereavement that I am sorry to report that our computer has recently deceased, so we won't be able to post our regularly scheduled Podcasts for a couple of weeks.  However, in the meantime, I will be posting more original content and hope to have it ready for posting later this week. . .or in light of Easter, perhaps thereafter -- honestly, quite shortly, I assure you!
